I always have jarred basil pesto left over from making pasta dishes. This recipe is a great way to use leftover pesto - it adds a great flavor to baked chicken tenders. Serve with pasta or a side of your choice.

Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1/4-1/2 cup pesto sauce
- 1/4 cup low-fat mayo (or regular)
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs (can sub Panko)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper
How To Make oven-baked breaded pesto chicken tenders

Step 1Pat chicken tenders dry with a paper towel. Set oven temp to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Combine pesto sauce and mayo - mix well. Mix bread crumbs with Parmesan cheese.

Step 3Dredge chicken tenders in pesto mix and then in bread crumb mix. Place chicken on a prepared baking sheet, separating each chicken tender.

Step 4Bake for approximately 15 minutes. Then flip and bake until cooked through. Serve with pasta or a side of your choice.
