olive oil
1 Tbsp
sesame seeds
2 lb
chicken cutlets
1/6 tsp
salt & pepper or to taste
15 oz
can mandarin oranges in light syrup
1 c
chicken broth
2 Tbsp
low-sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp

How to Make Orange Chinese Chicken


  • 1Heat oil and sesame seeds in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add zest strips and cook, stirring until slightly cooked. Meanwhile season both sides of chicken with salt and pepper.
  • 2When zest is finished add chicken to skillet and cook until golden.
  • 3Add oranges with liquid to skillet and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • 4Whisk together broth, soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl. Add mixture to pan with chicken and simmer until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
