Ingredients

·2 lb chicken wings
-
·1 egg
-
·1 1/2 t salt
-
·1 1/2 t. white pepper
-
·oil
-
·1/2 plus 1 t. cornstarch
-
·1/4 c flour
-
·1 t. minced fresh ginger root
-
·2 t. minced garlic
-
·dash of crushed red pepper flakes

·1/4 c chopped green onions
-
·1 t. rice vinegar
-
·1/2 c orange juice
-
·1/4 t. orange rind
-
·1/4 c water
-
·1 t sesame oil
How to Make Orange Chicken Wings
- Cut chicken wings into 2 pieces,place in bowl.Stir in egg,salt pepper 1 T oil and mix well.Stir cornstarch and flour together add chicken pieces stirring to coat.
Heat oil in wok for deep frying . Add chicken in small batches and fry.Remove chicken from oil,drain and set aside.
Clean wok and heat over high heat add 1 T. oil add ginger and garlic stir frying until fragrant. Add crushed pepper flakes,green onion,vinegar,orange juice and rind,stirring until well mixed. Stir water into remaining 1 T cornstarch until smooth add to sauce and heat until sauce is thickened, stir in sesame oil. Pour over chicken wings.Serve at once.
