Ingredients
- FOR THE CHICKEN
- 3 boneless chicken thighs cut into bite size pieces
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup flour
- salt and white pepper
- vegetable oil
- FOR THE ORANGE SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 dashes garlic minced
- 1 inch knob of ginger grated
- 2/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin saucre
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 green onions chopped
How To Make orange chicken

Step 1Place the eggs in one shallow dish. Mix the cornstarch, flour, salt and white pepper together in another shallow dish. Dip the chicken pieces in the eggs then dredge into the cornstarch mixture shaking off excess. Add about 1 inch of oil to a large skillet. Cook the chicken pieces until golden on both side. Set aside on a rack over a paper towel to drain.

Step 2Get out a saucepan and place the oil in it. Add the garlic and ginger and cook 30 seconds. Add the orange juice, lemon juice, soy sauce, vinegar, chili garlic sauce, hoisin and brown sugar. Heat to a simmer then bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch and water together and whisk it into the sauce to thicken. Remove from heat.

Step 3Place the chicken on top of rice or noodles then pour the orange sauce over top and garnish with green onions.
