Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup light cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt(omit if using a bouillon cube to make broth)
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
- 2 cups cooked diced chicken
- 1 can (4oz)sliced mushrooms,drained
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
- - pastry for a single crust 9" pie
How To Make nutty chicken pie

Step 1Melt butter and blend in flour. Gradually stir in cream and cook,stirring until smooth and thick. Add salt,pepper,chicken broth,dill weed,and parsley,and cook until smooth and thick once more.

Step 2Stir in chicken,mushrooms,and almonds. Pour into a 9" deep dish pie plate and cover with pastry.

Step 3Slash top and bake on a cookie sheet in preheated oven to 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 15 minutes more.
