Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    long rice
  • 3
    mushrooms, dried
  • 2 lb
    chicken pieces
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    salad oil
  • 1 small
    ginger root, crushed
  • 1 qt
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    msg
  • 10
    green onions, chopped

How to Make Nessa's Chicken Long Rice...

Step-by-Step

  1. First soak the long rice & mushrooms in warm water for about 30 minutes. Cut the chicken into 2-inch piece's & sprinkle with salt & pepper. Then remove the stems from the mushroom's & cut into strips.
  2. In large pot heat the oil over medium heat. Then saute the chicken, garlic & ginger root. Then add in the mushroom's, add in water & cover the pot. Let simmer for about 1 hour.
  3. Then drain the long rice, cut into 3-inch length's. Add it to the pot & simmer for 15 more minutes. Then add in the MSG & green onions just before serving. make's 6 servings...
