- To make the marinade: in a medium sized bowl combine the oil, beverage, soy sauce and garlic powder. Stir thoroughly until you have a good mixture.
- Combine the chicken and marinade in a covered container and marinade in the fridge for 6-9 hours (12-18 hours if using chicken with the bone and skin still intact).
- Barbecue slowly on the grill- do not overcook. Turn frequently, basting with the marinade with each turn. Cook until meat is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear. Discard any remaining marinade. **Note you can use an injector to inject some of the marinade into the meat.
