How to Make My Best Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
- Cook meat with or without jalapenos. Drain grease. Mix all dry seasonings and flours and whisk or shake in jar to mix. Sprinkle evenly over meat, toss meat to coat. Add bouillon, beer and ketchup. Stir til mixed. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer til thick. (About 15-20 minutes.)*If using beer, don't worry, it doesn't taste like beer and most of the alcohol will cook out. This is especially good when using beef or pork cubes because beer is a natural meat tenderizer. When I make pork tacos, I simply use pork loin chops and cut them into bite-sized cubes. Since this doesn't cook long, if using beef, use a tender cut such as sirloin steak or better. (Photos by me. Mix made with cubed pork loin chops in main photo.)
