I found this Crock Pot Mozzarella and Pesto Chicken recipe and made changes to suit my needs. I prepared it for the first time on Easter Sunday, and the family loved it!

This mozzarella and pesto chicken is a comforting and satisfying slow cooker dinner. Juicy and tender, they absorb the pesto and ranch dressing flavors. There's a slight tang with a hint of herbs from the pesto. The shredded mozzarella cheese sprinkled on the chicken melts slightly. Yum!

  • 6 - boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 6 1/2 ounces pesto
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 package ranch powder mix
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Spread the pesto as evenly as possible on all visible surfaces of the chicken.
    Step 1
    Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker. Spread the pesto as evenly as possible on all visible surfaces of the chicken.
