Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 6
    bone in chicken thighs skin removed
  • 1 large
    onion sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    each mccormick gourmet cinnamon roasted ground saigon and garlic powder california
  • 1 tsp
    each ground cumin, sea salt, and ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    saffron crushed
  • 1 can(s)
    14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes undrained
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1/3 c
    raisins

How to Make Moroccan Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken and cook 8 minutes turning once. Remove chicken from pan.
  2. Stir onions into skillet. Cook about 5 minutes until golden. Add seasoning. Stir in tomatoes, chicken broth and honey. Return chicken to skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes covered. Add raisins. Cook another 10 minutes.
  3. Serve with cooked couscous and garnish with cilantro if desired
