This is my Mom's recipe. Every major holiday or family gathering this is what was begged for.

Ingredients

  • 2
    batches of pre-made cornbread
  • 4 oz
    butter
  • 2 c
    onions diced and sauteed
  • 2 c
    celery choped
  • 1
    fryer chicken boiled, broth reserved
  • 9
    eggs boiled chopped
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    sage and garlic to taste

How to Make Mom's Holiday Dressing

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350
    Mix cornbread with onions,celery,garlic,shredded chicken. Add broth till almost soupy. Add salt pepper and sage to taste. Add half the chopped eggs stir well. Pour into a large baking pan or aluminum throw-away roasting pan. Add the remaining eggs to the top, cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, remove foil and continue to bake 30 minutes
