Ingredients
- 1 - whole chicken, rinsed & patted dry
- - olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 - 3 - rosemary sprigs, fresh
- 1 can beer
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
- - bbq sauce (optional)
How To Make *** mom's beer can chicken ***

Step 1Pour 1/4 beer out (or drink it) & place in center of roasting pan (without rack). Place rosemary sprigs inside of can.

Step 2After rinsing & patting dry chicken, place chicken cavity carefully over beer can (making sure not to tip it over).

Step 3In a small bowl, place all spices & mix well. Rub oil all over chicken, then sprinkle spice mixture all over chicken. Bake in oven 1 1/2 hours. Let stand 10 minutes before carving. Serve with bbq sauce, if desired.
