Ingredients
- 6 bone in chicken thighs skin removed
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 package au jus gravy mix
- 1 package ranch dressing mix
- 1/4 cup chopped pepperoncini peppers
- 1/2 cup juice from the pepperoncini
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1 stick butter sliced into pieces
- fresh parsley
How To Make mississippi chicken

Step 1Add onions to the bottom of a crock pot. Top them with the chicken.

Step 2Sprinkle both packages over top the chicken Top with the Pepperoncini. Pour the chicken stock and pepperoncini juice over chicken.

Step 3Lay the butter pats all over. Place the lid and and cook on low for 8 hours.

Step 4After the cooking time the chicken will be falling off the bone. Remove the chicken to board and shred. Remove the peppers with a slotted spoon.

Step 5Strain the broth in the crock pot through a fine mesh strainer and then put through a fat separater.

Step 6Place the gravy in a saucepan and bring to a boil and let it reduce to desired consistency. You can also use a thickener if you want.

Step 7Serve over mashed potatoes with the shredded chicken pepperoncini peppers the gravy and garnish with parsley
