mellina's eggnog waffles
These are my family's "holiday" waffles, although I make them throughout the year. Eating these waffles give you a warm, safe feeling, like a perfect (breakfast) comfort food. I sometimes make them with fried chicken for a Chicken and Waffles dinner.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 - eggs
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 3/4 cup warm eggnog
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla butter & nut flavoring by mccormick
How To Make mellina's eggnog waffles

Step 1In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar; set aside. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.

Step 2Add the warm milk, eggnog, melted butter, egg and vanillas into the flour mixture; beat until blended.

Step 3Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden brown and crisp.

Step 4TIP(S): You can purchase canned eggnog and have these waffles year-round.
