How to Make Mary's Vinegar Chicken
- Preheat over to 450 degrees. In a large ovenproof skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until smoking.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken pieces skin-side down in the pan and sear until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add butter and garlic cloves and cook 2 more minutes.
- Add vinegar (carefully)
- Turn chicken over and put pan in oven. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer indicates 160 degrees. Garnish with basil. Serve with french fries or mash potatoes.
