I made this up one day when I was craving something sweet and fall-tasting. It turned out so good.

1 Tbsp
olive oil
1-1/4 lb
boneless, skinless chicken breasts
shallots, chopped
2 tsp
minced garlic
1 c
chicken broth
1/3 c
real maple syrup
1 Tbsp
dijon mustard
1/8 tsp
crushed red pepper

How to Make Maple & dijon flavored chicken


  • 1Heat oil in lg skillet over med-high heat. Cook chicken in skillet until cooked through. Remove chicken and keep warm.
  • 2Cook shallots and garlic in same skillet, stirring, until tender. Stir in broth, syrup mustard and red pepper.
  • 3Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook until slightly thickened, about 10 mins. Serve sauce over chicken.
