Ingredients
- 10-12 - chicken pieces: breasts cut in 1/2, thighs, drumsticks & wings
- 1/2 cup oilive oil
- 1/2 pound spanish chorizo
- 1 medium onion- sliced
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon spanish saffron
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups long grained rice, cooked
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 package frozen artichoke hearts or peas
- 1/2 pound shrimp, shelled & deveined
- 1 - dz. clams
How To Make mama "g's" paella

Step 1Heat oil in large skillet. Quickly brown chicken, remove, set aside. Brown Chorizo in same pan, set aside, drain all but 2 TBSP. fat. Add onion, garlic, saffron & salt, cook until onion is soft. Add rice, stir lightly. Add broth - DO NOT STIR! Arrange artichoke hearts or peas, chicken, chorizo & shrimp around pan. Bring broth to a boil, place pan in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Steam clams until shells open. Remove paella from oven, arrange clams on top. Let paella rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
