Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into pieces
  • 6 tablespoons each mirin and soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons oil

How To Make mall chinese chicken

  • Step 1
    Mix the mirin, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic sesame oil and cornstarch together. Pour over the chicken and marinate it in the fridge for 2 hours or longer.
  • Step 2
    Heat a large pan and add the 2 tbsp of oil. Remove the chicken from the marinade and brown it in batches if needed. Cook until no longer pink.
  • Step 3
    Pour in the marinade and bring to a boil to thicken it. Add the chicken in and mix well. Serve over rice or noodles.
