Make these a day before you need them. Taste better the second day. I cut down on the amount of sour cream. Just a personal taste.

Ingredients

  • 3 packages idaho instant potatoes
  • - mix as directed using boiling water
  • 8 oz - cream cheese
  • 16 oz - sour cream i use only 12 oz
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make make ahead "mashed potatoes"

  • Step 1
    mix potatoes, cream cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper
  • Step 2
    put in baking pan amd pour melted butter over top
  • Step 3
    Bake 20 min covered. Uncover and bake till brown
