Ingredients
- 2 - chickens, breasts, thighs and drumsticks from both
- - flour
- - salt
- - pepper
- pinch ginger
- 6 - carrots, peeled and quartered
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup water
- 10.75 ounces beef bouillon, canned
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 - bay leaves
- 6 small onions, peeled
- 6 - potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sauteed
- 8 ounces english peas, canned
How To Make lone star chicken casserole

Step 1Mix flour, salt, pepper and ginger and dredge chicken pieces in the seasoned flour.

Step 2Brown the floured chicken in a skillet with 4 tablespoons of melted butter; remove pieces when brown and save the drippings.

Step 3Put chicken pieces in a large casserole; add flour to the drippings, making a paste.

Step 4Stir in water, beef bouillon, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, bay leaves and whole onions.

Step 5Pour over chicken and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Step 6Add potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms; bake 35 minutes more.

Step 7Add peas and bake 10 minutes longer.
