loaded chicken tender macaroni salad

I created this newest macaroni salad recipe: chicken tenders and loaded with carrots, green peas, cubed american cheese and bacon. The dressing is so delicious, without the vinegar. It's very good with side of lettuce-only salad and Hawaiian sweet rolls.

Ingredients

  • 12 frozen (all-white meat) chicken tenders, thawed
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons sweet and tangy seasoning, divided
  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium carrot, diced
  • 1 can green peas, drained
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup creamy wing sauce
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 16 ounces process american cheese, cut into 1/2 cubes
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

How To Make loaded chicken tender macaroni salad

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Step 3
    In a small bowl,combine melted margarine, parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning; whisk well with a fork for 30 seconds until blended. Set aside.
  • Step 4
    Place chicken tenders on the baking sheet. Brush them with margarine mixture. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool completely for 10 minutes. Cut them into 1/2 pieces.
  • Step 5
    Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  • Step 6
    In a large bowl, add cooked macaroni, diced red bell peppers, diced carrots, green peas and half of sliced chicken tenders; mix well.
  • Step 7
    In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, onion soup mix, wing sauce, half and half, honey mustard and remaining sweet and tangy seasoning; whisk together for 30 seconds until blended.
  • Step 8
    Pour over the macaroni mixture and add cubed american and crumbled blue cheese, crumbled bacon and remaining sliced chicken tenders; mix well until combined.
