This recipe was given to me when I lived in Crawford, GA 34 years ago by a woman who had just moved to Oglethorpe County, Ga. from Miami. Whenever I want to really impress this is my GO TO recipe. Easy and delish.... you'll want to lick the dish. If you like lemon a lot then use more. Not so much then use less. I don't cook it often because of the butter. You can use boneless or bone in. I use skinless/ boneless breast. Cooking time can be shorter if using boneless meat. It will dry out so make sure it browns then you can take it out.

allow butter to melt in pyrex dish (sized to fit your chicken) while the oven is heating.

  3. Season and dredge the chicken in the flour. Lay in melted butter with the best side down.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes and remove dish and turn your chicken over so the best side can brown and be pretty. Return to oven for 20 minutes.
