Ingredients

  • 4 medium chicken breast halves
  • paprika
  • 7 ounces pitted black olives, drained
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 medium white onion, sliced thin
  • 4 ounces raisins

How To Make kucerta zydowska (israeli chicken), mark's

  • Step 1
Dredge chicken in well seasoned flour and sprinke with paprika. Coat well, and brown in butter. Place browned chicken in a flat casserole, in a single layer. Combine rest of the ingredients and let butter melt and simmer for four minutes. Pour sauce over chicken. Cover casserole and bake at 350F for 60-70 minutes. Uncover chicken during last half of baking to crisp.
  • Step 2
Notes: Halved green or red grapes can be added instead of the raisins. Using tinfoil for a casserole cover is often handy.
