    chicken wings
  • 3 large
    egg whites
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    oil for deep frying
  • SAUCE

  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    ginger grated
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1 tsp
    red chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    siriracha sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame seeds
  • 1
    scallion minced

How to Make Korean Inspired Chicken Wings

Step-by-Step

  1. mix the egg whites, baking soda, and salt together. Add the chicken wings and stir to coat. Place a wired rack over a baking sheet and place the wings in a single layer on the sheet and let sit for 2 hours at room temp to dry out.
  2. Meanwhile mix all the sauce ingredients except sesame seeds and scallion together in a small saucepan cook until thickened and reduced a bit. Stir in the sesame seeds.
  3. Deep fry the wings in batches at 375 degrees until golden brown about 4 to 5 minutes. Place in sauce and coat well. Sprinkle with scallions
