Ingredients

  • WINGS
  • 24 - chicken wings
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • - oil for deep frying
  • SAUCE
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon siriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 - scallion minced

How To Make korean inspired chicken wings

  • Step 1
    mix the egg whites, baking soda, and salt together. Add the chicken wings and stir to coat. Place a wired rack over a baking sheet and place the wings in a single layer on the sheet and let sit for 2 hours at room temp to dry out.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile mix all the sauce ingredients except sesame seeds and scallion together in a small saucepan cook until thickened and reduced a bit. Stir in the sesame seeds.
  • Step 3
    Deep fry the wings in batches at 375 degrees until golden brown about 4 to 5 minutes. Place in sauce and coat well. Sprinkle with scallions
