Ingredients For korean chicken

  • 6
    chicken pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3
    drops hot sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    chopped green onions

How To Make korean chicken

    Salt and pepper the chicken pieces.

    In a large skillet, brown chicken in vegetable oil.

    While chicken is browning, combine in a medium bowl the garlic, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well. Set aside.

    Once the chicken is browned, pour the sauce over the chicken and cook on simmer for about 25 minutes. (Cover skillet for first 15 minutes and then uncover it for the final 10 minutes.) Stir it every so often to ensure it does not burn.

    To serve, remove pieces of chicken to a serving dish and then pour sauce from skillet over chicken. Garnish with green onions.
