king's wings

First, be aware of the marinating time so you start soon enough to have them done when you need them! My family made these for parties long before wings were "in style!" They have a sweet, nippy flavor that satisfies almost any palate. They are quite easy to prepare and could be kept in a slow cooker or Nesco roaster to stay warm for serving. There's no reason you couldn't make a meal of them, either! Delicious!!!!

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup apricot juice
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 dash garlic juice
  • 15 - drops tabasco sauce (or to your liking)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

How To Make king's wings

  • Step 1
Snip wings apart at joints and discard wing tips.
  • Step 2
Mix remaining ingredients and marinate wings at least 3 to 5 hours.
  • Step 3
Pour excess sauce off after marinating, place wings in a baking pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. This would work well in a Nesco-type roaster, and then you could serve them right from the cooker.
