Ingredients

  • 1 - 4lb chicken ,poached, deboned and cut up into bite sized pieces
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 - 8 oz. package corn tortillas
  • - broth from cooking chicken or can chicken broth
  • - 8 oz. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • - garlic salt to taste
  • 1 - 10 3/4 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 - 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 - 10 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies

    COMBINE CHICKEN ,ONION & PEPPER,LAYER ALTERNATELY WITH TORTILLIAS,WHICH HAVE BEEN DIPPED INTO HOT CHICKEN BROTH JUST LONG ENOUGH TO SOFTEN ,IN A SHALLOW 3 OUART GREASED CASSEROLE DISH

    TOP WITH GRATED CHEESE & SPRINKLE WITH CHILI POWDER AND GARLIC SALT
  • Step 3
    WITH A SPOON ,SPREAD SOUPS AND TOMATOES WITH CHILIES OVER CHICKEN.BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350* OVEN FOR 30 TO 45 MIN.OR UNTIL HOT
