I made this sauce for a rib burn-off in cleveland ohio in 1989.The ribs took 3rd place and my sauce took 1st place.Not to tangy and not to sweet.I make a gallon so my kids can take it home.

brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 c
apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
your favorite hot sauce
1/2 Tbsp
liquid smoke flavoring
1 1/2 c
orange marmalade

How to Make Karl's Barbecue Sauce


  • 1Mix all ingredient in a heavy pot and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 2You can store this in a glass jar in the refrigerator for 4 months.But it will be gone before that.
