jodie's double dipped country fried chicken
This is one of my mom's favorite menu items that I make for her...she always requests it with mashed potatoes and cream gravy made from the crunchies of the chicken.....When the kids were home I had to cook two chickens per meal and they would all be gone.........

Ingredients
- 2 large chickens, (cut up)
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sage, dried
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 can evaporated milk
- - cooking oil
How To Make jodie's double dipped country fried chicken

Step 1Heat cooking oil in a large skillet. Remove any pin feathers and cut up and wash chicken thoroughly. Put chicken into a large bowl pour milk over chicken and turn chicken in milk.

Step 2Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl with lid for shaking. Cook on medium heat.......

Step 3Shake chicken in flour mixture and place in hot oil, brown on each side, then remove chicken and shake in flour mixture again...and place back in the hot oil..make sure that the heat is set on medium so as not to burn...

Step 4Brown well on both sides and then place lid on top and cook turning occasionally as not to burn...about 10 minutes before it is done remove lid to crisp up the chicken....Remove, serve hot You may use any left over flour mixture to make your cream gravy in the hot oil along with the crunchies...
