I got this recipe from Campbells kitchen. I love how crispy the potatoes make this chicken and it so easy to make .

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups idahoan instant mashed potatoes flakes
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 - chicken legs (about 2 pounds)
  • 6 cups canola oil

How To Make idahoan fried chicken

  • Step 1
    Stir 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of potato flakes in a medium bowl.
  • Step 2
    Beat the egg and milk in another bowl with a fork or whisk.
  • Step 3
    Stir the remaining flour , potato flakes , bread crumbs and seasonings in another bowl.
  • Step 4
    Coat the chicken with potato mixture.
  • Step 5
    Dip the chicken in egg mixture.
  • Step 6
    Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour mixture.
  • Step 7
    Heat the oil in a 4 quart sauce-pot over medium-high heat.
  • Step 8
    Add the chicken in batches and cook for 10 minutes or until chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Drain the chicken on paper towels.
