    boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into strips
  • 2 large
  • 1 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 1/3 c
    oyster sauce
  • 1/4 c
    each soy sauce, dry sherry, and honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    sambal oelek
  • 1/4 c
    fresh ginger minced
  • 10 c
    garlic minced
  • 2
    shallots minced
  • ·
    chopped cilantro for garnish

How to Make Hunan Chicken


  1. Mix all ingredients together except for cilantro. Let marinate 1 hour. Pour chicken and marinade into large saucepan. Cook until chicken are done and sauce is thickened. 7 to 10 minutes.
  2. Serve over rice, rice sticks or angel hair pasta. Garnished with cilantro
