Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 bone in chicken leg quarters
- salt and pepper
- 2 lemons, grated zest and juiced
- 3 tablespoons hot honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
How To Make hot honey lemon chicken

Step 1Heat one tbsp of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Lay skin side down in the hot oil and cook undisturbed for about 10 minutes. Turn the chicken and cook on the other side for 10 minutes.

Step 2Meanwhile combine the remaining olive oil lemon juice and zest, the hot honey, garlic, oregano, and a little salt. Remove the chicken to a plate and add the onion to the skillet. Add the chicken back to the pan on top of the onions and cook another 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken again to a plate.

Step 3Pour the sauce into the pan and deglaze the pan then simmer until thickened. Add the chicken back into the pan turning to coat in the sauce. Serve with the sauce spooned over.
