This is a family favorite. Very creamy and flavorful. I like to use the breasts from a rotisserie chicken. Great potluck fare!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 ounces jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 teaspoon diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 ounces can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 12 ounces can cream of chicken soup

How To Make hot chicken salad

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together and place in lightly greased 2 qt. casserole.
  • Step 2
    Spread over the top: 1 Cup corn flakes 1/2 cup slivered almonds 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Step 3
    Bake 35 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven
