This is a family favorite. Very creamy and flavorful. I like to use the breasts from a rotisserie chicken. Great potluck fare!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    shredded cooked chicken breasts
  • 1 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 c
    diced celery
  • 3/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 6 oz
    jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tsp
    diced onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 5 oz
    can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 12 oz
    can cream of chicken soup

How to Make Hot Chicken Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together and place in lightly greased 2 qt. casserole.
  2. Spread over the top:

    1 Cup corn flakes
    1/2 cup slivered almonds
    1/4 cup melted butter
  3. Bake 35 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven
