This is one of those recipes that my family just cannot get enough of. I hope you enjoy it as well!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 cup real mayonnaise
  • 2 - scant tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons grated onion
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 small pkg. potato chips, crushed

How To Make hot chicken salad

  • Step 1
    Combine chicken, celery, water chestnuts and almonds.
  • Step 2
    Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and onion.
  • Step 3
    Pour mayo mixture over chicken mixture and mix.
  • Step 4
    Place in a greased 2-quart casserole dish; cover with later of cheese and crushed potato chips.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 375 degrees for about 20-30 minutes.
