This is a great recipe and can either be eaten alone or served with Frito Scoops. It is a nice presentation served on a bed of lettuce. ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • 6
    chicken tenders or 3 cans of canned chicken
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 can(s)
    sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/3 c
    almonds, chopped
  • 1 c
    grated cheddar cheese; 2 cups for cheesier
  • 1/2
    bag crushed potato chips (plain)

How to Make Hot Chicken Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. After cooking chicken tenders, shred it or if using canned chicken, just tear it apart some. Mix all ingredients except cheese and potato chips. Spread in a 9 x 13" casserole dish. Add cheese and chips on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes. If you would like it cheesier, add another cup of shredded cheddar cheese. YUM!
