This is a great recipe and can either be eaten alone or served with Frito Scoops. It is a nice presentation served on a bed of lettuce. ENJOY!

Ingredients For hot chicken salad

  • 6
    chicken tenders or 3 cans of canned chicken
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 can
    sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/3 c
    almonds, chopped
  • 1 c
    grated cheddar cheese; 2 cups for cheesier
  • 1/2
    bag crushed potato chips (plain)

How To Make hot chicken salad

    After cooking chicken tenders, shred it or if using canned chicken, just tear it apart some. Mix all ingredients except cheese and potato chips. Spread in a 9 x 13" casserole dish. Add cheese and chips on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes. If you would like it cheesier, add another cup of shredded cheddar cheese. YUM!
