This is an easy chicken recipe which can be made in the oven or in a pot on the stove top. I found it on another site and tweeked it to my liking. It is now one of my favorites. I find it is a good main dish that you can keep warm in the oven even after it is done until it is time to eat (you know when the rest of the meal is not quite ready or your guests/family have not yet arrived) and it will still taste just as good.

How To Make honey soy chicken

  • Step 1
Combine in a bowl ketchup, honey, soy sauce, sugar, garlic powder. Set aside. Put the onions in the bottom of a pot/roaster/pan. Put chicken pieces over the onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. (Note: I don't even use salt because I use kosher chicken which is already salted.)
  • Step 2
Pour sauce from the bowl over the chicken. Sprinkle with the red pepper flakes to taste. Cook one hour in oven at 350 degrees or atop stove on medium heat turning once. (I prefer the oven.)
