Ingredients
- 4 - chicken breasts, halves
- 2 cups buttermilk
- COATING INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- pinch pepper
- SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup honey
- 5/8 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
How To Make honey pecan chicken

Step 1Soak chicken pieces overnight in buttermilk (or at least several hours).

Step 2Mix flour, garlic powder, little cayenne pepper, and pepper; dredge chicken in this.

Step 3Let chicken \"rest\" after coating with flour mix for bout 30 minutes (so coating \"sticks\").

Step 4Heat small amount oil in large fry pan.

Step 5Cook about 8 minutes per side (for boneless pieces, longer for with bone) until no longer pink.

Step 6Make Sauce: mix melted butter, honey, lemon peel and bourbon.

Step 7Mix and heat until warm; pour over cooked chicken and top with chopped pecans!
