I just sort of threw this together one night using things we had in the house. AND WOW! The steaks turned out so tender, and soooo delicious. They were sweet and had just the right amount of subtle heat. We made homemade burritos with black beans and yellow rice. They. Were. Outstanding!

Ingredients

vegetable or olive oil
1 c
honey
2
heaping tbsps minced garlic
1/3 c
lime juice
1 large
red onion, chopped
3 Tbsp
cumin
1/2 c
chopped parsley
1/2 Tbsp
red pepper flakes (optional)
salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Honey-Lime Marinade

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl, whisking until well mixed.
  • 2Place two large steaks in a disposable foil pan or a large, deep baking dish, and pour marinade over steaks.
  • 3Cover pan/dish tightly, and refrigerate at least 8 hours. (Overnight yields most flavorful results.)
