Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb
    chicken
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped onion (or 1 tbs onion flakes)
  • 2 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1
    garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes

How to Make Honey Chicken (Crockpot version)

Step-by-Step

  1. Season both sides of chicken with salt and pepper, put into crock pot.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes.
  3. Pour over chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 3 hours or on high 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Cut chicken into bite size pieces(I shred mine).
  6. Return to pot and stir in sauce.
  7. Serve over rice, or on a dinner roll as a sandwich.
