Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 6 - natural bone-in/skin-on chicken, turkey or duck breasts
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
How To Make honey bourbon bbq chicken, turkey or duck breasts

Step 1Melt butter in a saucepan over med heat. Add onion & garlic & saute until soft, about 4 minutes. Add the next 7 ingredients. Reduce heat to a simmer & cook slowly for 20 minutes; until the sauce thickens. Stir in bourbon.

Step 2Prepare a med-hot fire in the grill.

Step 3Mix salt & pepper together. Sprinkle ove chicken & under the skin. Grill chicken about 10 minutes per side or until the internal temp reaches 165 degrees F. Reserve 1 C. of BBQ Sauce. Brush chicken lightly with remaining sauce & cook for 2 minutes longer.

Step 4Let chicken rest 5-10 minutes before serving.

Step 5Place chicken on a platter & cover loosely with foil until ready to serve.
