i had put this recipe in a little earlier but i just gave half of the recipe i am sorry to have done that so here is the whole recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup peas
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups chicken broth, (or enough to cover chicken in pot)
  • 3 cups chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
  • 2 medium carrots and celery stalks, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley and pepper

How To Make homemade amish chicken pot pie

  • Step 1
    FOR SOUP BASE: use a 5 quart pot and add chicken cubes, diced carrots, celery, onions and peas.
  • Step 2
    cover with chicken broth and add parsley, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3
    simmer on medium low until vegetables are tender.
  • Step 4
    FOR NOODLES: combine egg, remaining salt, milk and flour, mix well. if dough is to sticky just add a little more water.
  • Step 5
    roll dough out on floured covered area to about 1/4 to1/8 inch thick. cut dough into 11/2 inch squares to make noodles.
  • Step 6
    slowly put squares into the already made soup mixture and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat until noodles are done. serve warm.
