Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fettuccine noodles
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • - 1-2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed

How To Make homemade alfredo sauce

  • Step 1
    Cook fettuccine noodle to desired doness, drain and cover to keep warm.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Stir in cream and pepper. Cook about 5 minutes or till mixture thickens a little, stirring occasionaly
  • Step 3
    Stir in Parmesan cheese, cook over low heat till melted, stirring constantly. Immediately stir in noodle, toss to coat, Stir in parsley and nutmeg if desired. This would be where you would stir in the chicken if you wish. You can also add some cooked brocoli florets as well. Up to you.
