I am taking these recipes from the book "Dinner Is In The Jar" by Kathy Clark
I am working on my own recipes, however, you can purchase her book by going to dinnerisinthejar.com
I will post my creations when I complete them. If anyone else is into this, please let me know! Thanks!
You can use either canning jars or mylar bags

How to Make Hawaiian Haystack
- Remove oxygen absorber. Put rice, butter and 3 c water in pot. Cover. Put heat on medium for 15 minutes, then on low for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, whisk contents of seasoning baggie with 2 c water, and add cooked chicken. Simmer sauce a few minutes until thick and powders are cooked, stirring often to assure it does not burn.
- To serve, put a bed of rice on plate and top with chicken sauce.
- Hints: Use either jar probably pint sized for this recipe or mylar bag. Go to UTube and search Mylar bags. They have lots of video and don't forget oxygen absorbers. Oxygen Absorbers keep moisture out of your food to keep it fresh. Ebay sells them or any preparedness company on or off the internet. They are not expensive.
- Don't forget to make your labels for jars or bags. Attach to jar or mylar bag.
