I got this recipe from my Mom, who got this from a Campbells Soup recipe booklet in the 50's when she was a newlywed. I love it because it can be made ahead. All you have to do is leave the chinese noodles off until you are ready to put it in the oven.

1 lb
ground beef or ground turkey
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1 small
onion, chopped
1 tsp
soy sauce, dark
1 c
rice, cooked and hot
1/2 c
celery, chopped
1 can(s)
chinese noodles (chow mein noodles)


1Brown hamburger, drain any fat
2Cook rice, and mix with hamburger in a 2 qt casserole
3Stir in all remaining ingredients except, Chinese noodles.
4Sprinkle Chinese noodles on top of the meat and rice mixture, you will probably only need 1/2 of the can.
5Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
