Here is another version of ribs with a tropical fruit, this one's really good, too!!! Finger lickin' good . . . YUMMMMM!!!

Makes 10 Servings
Ingredients
- 10 to 12 pounds pork ribs or country-style ribs
- - 4 inch piece of ginger root, sliced
- MARINADE:
- 1 cup soy sauce, light
- 1 cup oyster sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese five spice powder
- 3 tablespoons ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 can frozen guava nectar, thawed
- - green onions, chopped for garnish
How To Make guava-licious ribs or chicken

Step 1Place the ribs and sliced ginger root in a large pot, fill with water to cover the ribs.

Step 2Bring to a boil and let cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain the water. Let cool a little.

Step 3In a large heavy duty zip-lock bag, combine all the ingredients for the marinade. Make sure that the sugars are completely dissolved.

Step 4Place the ribs in the marinade and refrigerate overnight.

Step 5Grill the ribs or broil in the oven. Baste the ribs well with the marinade, while cooking.

Step 6Place on a serving platter and sprinkle with green onions.
