GUAVA-LICIOUS RIBS OR CHICKEN

10 to 12
pork ribs or country-style ribs
4 inch piece of ginger root, sliced
chinese five spice powder
frozen guava nectar, thawed
green onions, chopped for garnish
How to Make GUAVA-LICIOUS RIBS OR CHICKEN
1Place the ribs and sliced ginger root in a large pot, fill with water to cover the ribs.
2Bring to a boil and let cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain the water. Let cool a little.
3In a large heavy duty zip-lock bag, combine all the ingredients for the marinade. Make sure that the sugars are completely dissolved.
4Place the ribs in the marinade and refrigerate overnight.
5Grill the ribs or broil in the oven. Baste the ribs well with the marinade, while cooking.
6Place on a serving platter and sprinkle with green onions.
