grilled spicy wings w/ cassie onion baked potatoes

I came up with this recipe yesterday (8-6-13). It is a little spicy, but good. You can have celery stick and ranch or Blue cheese dressing if desired. I also used Cassie Long's recipe "Onion Baked Potatoes", located on this site. Instead of putting them in the oven, I put them on the grill. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. My family and friends loved it.

How To Make grilled spicy wings w/ cassie onion baked potatoes

  • Step 1
Take chicken wings and wash well. You can cut the third joint off, but I didn't. Take the third joint and fold behind the little leg. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Get all ingredients together.
  • Step 3
Combine all marinade ingredients, and whisk well, until sugar is dissolved.
  • Step 4
Place chicken wings in a medium bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings and stir or toss until wings are covered well. Place in refrigerator for 4 to 24 hours. Toss several times during the refrigeration time.
  • Step 5
Take chicken wings from the refrigerator, and set aside. Go to "ONION BAKED POTATOES" (recipe done by Cassie Long)and prepare the potatoes and wrap in heavy duty fold. Set aside.
  • Step 6
Prepare the grill. Set it up with indirect heat.
  • Step 7
Place the potatoes on the grill after the flames goes out. Cover. (Cook the potatoes about 1 hour, or until soft.)
  • Step 8
After the coals turn gray, place the wings in center, with the potatoes at each end, and cook for 45 minutes or until done. Turning wings about every 20 minutes. Turn potatoes half way through cooking time (about 1 hour). Remove for grill. Salt and pepper to taste, if desired. ENJOY!!!
