green chili, cream cheese chicken
I cannot remember where I found this recipe but it is an easy, one-pot meal. I made this a lot when my family was all at home. I still make it when I need something to take for "bring-a-dish" dinners. I have tweaked it to suit my family's taste. Its a fairly flexible recipe.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken pieces
- 1 package dry italian salad dressing mix
- 4 tablespoons melted butter, divided
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cans diced green chilis
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
How To Make green chili, cream cheese chicken

Step 1Place chicken pieces in crockpot; Sprinkle Italian salad dressing mix and black pepper over the chicken.

Step 2Pour 2 Tbsp. melted butter over the chicken.

Step 3Cook on low for 6 hours.

Step 4Melt the other 2 Tbsp. butter in a saucepan and sauté onion and garlic.

Step 5To the saucepan, add the cream of chicken soup, chopped green chilis, cream cheese, and chicken broth. Stir until smooth.

Step 6Pour the mixture over the chicken in the Crockpot and cook on low for an additional 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
