Ingredients For glenda's oven jambalaya

  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 3/4 c
    ham, diced
  • 1
    smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb
    chicken, cubed
  • 1/1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped
  • 1 can
    8-oz tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    15-oz chicken broth
  • 2 c
    rice (not instant)
  • 1 can
    15-oz diced tomatoes (or 4 fresh tomatoes, chopped)
  • 1
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    thyme

How To Make glenda's oven jambalaya

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large, oven-proof dutch oven heat oil; add ham, chicken and sausage. Cook until lightly browned. Stir in onion, celery and green bell pepper and saute until tender crisp. Stir in seasonings. Add tomato sauce and chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice and tomatoes. Cook in oven until rice is tender - approximately 20-25 minutes.
