Genny's Chicken or Shrimp Fettuccine

I've devised this recipe, so that you can make the fettuccine with either shrimp or chicken. My family loves it made both ways. It's also a great dish to make for company.

1/4 c
1/4 c
olive oil
1 lb
chicken or shrimp, cooked and cut up
1/2 c
green onions, chopped
2 clove
garlic, crushed
1 c
whipping cream
1 pkg
mccormick pasta prima alfredo sauce
12 oz
fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 can(s)
(15 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
2 Tbsp
dried basil leaves or 1-1/2 tsp. fresh
1 lb
hot cooked fettuccine
1/2 c
parmesan cheese, grated


1Heat butter and oil in skillet over medium heat; add shrimp or chicken, green onions, and garlic. Saute till shrimp or chicken is lightly browned.
2Stir in cream, sauce mix, mushrooms, tomatoes salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in basil and remove from heat.
3Toss pasta with sauce and sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Yummm!
