Better than any food truck taco's I have ever had. You can put whatever toppings you want on.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium rotisserie chicken, skinned and shredded or 5 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chinese black vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • shredded red cabbage, green onions, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, chopped cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds
  • favorite taco shells or boats

How To Make general tao's asian taco's

  • Step 1
    Shred the chicken and set aside. Mix the chicken stock, soy sauce, vinegar, hoisin sauce, garlic chili sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch and set aside. Place the Sesame oil in a large wok or skillet. Add the ginger and garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add the wine and bring to a boil and let most evaporate. Whisk in the chicken stock mixture into the pan until thickened. Add the chicken and stir cooking until warmed through
  • Step 3
    Place in or on taco shells and top with cabbage, green onions, carrots, cilantro and sesame seeds.
